President Barack Obama and his team released his Official 2012 Campaign Playlist, and Ricky Martin is part of a very slim group of artists to make it onto the list! He is joined by the likes of Booker T & the MGs, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, No Doubt and U2, but Martin remains the lone latino.

We took note a couple weeks ago of Ricky Martin‘s upcoming, February 7th guest appearance on Glee. Clearly, one of the most important considerations was trying to figure out what he was going to sing! Since, he’s playing a Spanish teacher, I didn’t think it would be a stretch to expect at least one Spanish song, and it looks like I wasn’t too far off the mark. [Read more…]
I don’t know if Fox knew what it was doing when they lit the greenlight for now uber-hit, Glee, but this show has catapulted to a level of popularity that is astounding, especially for a musical. I’m pretty sure if you threw a rock, the chances are high you’d hit a Glee fan, maybe two. As an avid fan myself, chances are, you might hit me with that rock (and La Roja). As an equally avid Ricky Martin fan and supporter, I am beside myself with (I’m sorry, I can’t help it) glee over the fact that Ricky is going to be a guest starring as a musically inclined Spanish teacher on the show!!!
