Why La Rubia Is Excited About This New On The Scene Latina
You may or may not have heard of her yet, but Genesis Rodriguez is one new on the scene actress, Las Gringas Blog is excited to feature.
I first got wind of this talented Latina when covering Will Ferrell’s upcoming Casa de mi Padre in which she stars as the leading love interest. Her name is hardly ordinary, and I was sure if she’d been around, I would have heard of her. So, I did a little digging to see what I could find out.
The 25 year old got her start starring in telenovelas like Doña Bárbara, and recently made an appearance on the TV series, Entourage. Besides starring in Casa, she is also a key character in the action flick, Man On A Ledge which hit theaters January 27th. Between her television roots and these two films, it is already clear that Genesis is a versatile actress capable of filling all kinds of roles!
Rodriguez has other flicks in the works for the future including What To Expect When You’re Expecting which also stars JLo and is set to release in May. Additionally, she is slated to star as an FBI agent in Last Stand which will release in 2013. We are definitely excited to see another multi-talented Latina on the scene and holding her own! We can’t wait to see what else she comes up with!
